LOS ANGELES, CA — It's been nearly two weeks since the deluge of storms slammed Southern California, but those storms are still affecting downtown traffic.

A major freeway connector will remain closed for days to come while crews repair damage caused by flooding, Caltrans said this week.

The southbound Interstate 5 connector to the southbound Harbor (110) Freeway is expected to reopen sometime in February. Downtown drivers should expect delays.

"Crews are working on adding protective net near the top of the connector. Workers will keep the connector CLOSED until early Feb. to continue clean up, add protective netting, rock scaling, clear drains, & repair barriers. Expect delays into #DTLA!" Caltrans tweeted.
