East Hollywood House Fire Extinguished Thursday Morning: LAFD

HOLLYWOOD, CA — It took 52 firefighters 19 minutes to extinguish a blaze that broke out in a single-family home in East Hollywood Thursday morning, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to the fire on Harvard Boulevard, just west of Normandie Avenue and Sunset Boulevard, just before 9 a.m. They observed heavy smoke showing from the home's attic space, the LAFD said.

Crews extinguished the flames in the attic in 19 minutes and planned to remain on scene for overhaul and salvage operations, the LAFD said.
