Firefighters Cut Holes In Luxury Home's Roof To Battle Attic Fire: LAFD

A fire broke out at a Hollywood Hills West home early Wednesday morning, according to the LAFD.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Firefighters had to cut holes in the roof of a Hollywood Hills West home after a fire broke out in the attic early Wednesday morning, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to a home on Mt. Olympus Drive at around 2:30 a.m., where they found a fire burning in the attic, according to the LAFD.

Firefighters gathered furniture and belongings in the living space below the attic and covered the items as they worked to fight the fire. Crews cut holes in the roof to bring hoses into the attic, according to the LAFD.

It took 32 firefighters about 45 minutes to extinguish the flames, described as "stubborn."

No injuries were reported and the incident remains under investigation.
