Man Dies, Woman Hospitalized In Two Car Crash In East Hollywood

A third patient was injured in the crash, but declined treatment and was released on the scene.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A 20-year-old man died in a two car accident in East Hollywood Sunday night, while another person was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The accident took place at 1874 Vermont Ave. near Franklin Avenue around 8:11 p.m. according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

An initial report said two patients, a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, were in critical condition, while a third man, 18, sustained non-life threatening injuries. The report was later updated to say the 20-year-old died at the scene.

The third victim declined treatment and was released at the scene.

A cause of the crash wasn't immediately available. The name of the deceased victim was withheld until family members could be notified.
