Road-Rage Turns Deadly In Daytime Fight In Strip Mall Parking Lot: Report

A road-rage incident in a strip mall parking lot turned deadly Tuesday afternoon, according to a report.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — Homicide detectives are investigating a broad-daylight road-rage incident in a strip-mall parking lot that left one man dead, KTLA reported.

The incident was reported Tuesday at around 1 p.m. on the 7900 block of Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies preliminary investigation revealed that two motorists collided in the parking lot of a strip mall just west of Santa Monica Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue, KTLA reported.

The two drivers jumped out of their vehicles and started arguing before the fight turned physical. The larger of the two men hit the other, knocking him unconscious, according to KTLA, which cited witness reports.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, deputies said.

KTLA footage from the scene shows the area cordoned off with crime scene tape as investigators gathered evidence near a white pickup truck and a minivan outside a 7-Eleven.
