HOLLYWOOD, CA — Skylight Books will be closed through at least January 5, after a staffer tested positive for coronavirus. The announcement came Wednesday evening, with the store saying they made the decision out of an "abundance of caution" as the staffer is currently symptom-free.

"A member of our staff has received a positive COVID-19 test result," the store said. "They are currently free of symptoms, and we hope they remain so. However, out of an abundance of caution, we will be closing our store and making sure everyone on our staff gets tested before they return to work."

The store will continue to accept online orders, but pick-up, shipping, and in-stock processing will all be on pause through the hiatus.

"If you'd like to order books, you can do so on our website, but please note that we won't be able to process in-stock books, ship anything out, or allow order pickups until after we return to work," the store said. "Once we return, we'll have a backlog of orders, so it'll likely take us several days to catch up. So as always, please wait for an order pickup notification before coming to pick up your order."
