Target Hollywood Galaxy Opens

HOLLYWOOD, CA — The new Target Hollywood Galaxy is officially open, company officials told Patch.

The small-format store at 7021 Hollywood Blvd. is among two new locations opening in Los Angeles, including the new Santa Monica Broadway location at 420 Broadway. Grand openings at both locations are planned for Sunday.

The company aims to bring an easy, safe and convenient shopping experience to the local community, officials announced.

The new store includes a Starbucks, a grocery selection with fresh produce, an adult beverage section, apparel and accessories for adults, home decor and essentials, and health and beauty products.

People can also place drive-up and pick up orders, including groceries, and have these items brought to their cars, according to the company.

The new locations in Santa Monica and Hollywood are part of the company's push to open small-format stores in cities.

"Nationwide, Target is reaching new guests by opening small-format stores in urban areas, dense suburban neighborhoods and near college campuses – places where a full-size Target store may not fit," the company said.

With the addition of the Hollywood store, Target now operates more than 140 small-format stores, with more than 1,900 Target stores nationwide as of March. About 70 people will work at the new Hollywood location.

"Our team works diligently to understand the neighborhood and local guests our new stores serve and build assortments that will best fit those guests’ needs and preferences, while still delivering an experience that’s fully Target," the company said in a statement.

Target now has 116 stores across Los Angeles County.

The Target Hollywood Galaxy store is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
