Vacant Hollywood Home, Site Of Previous Blaze, Catches Fire Again: LAFD

The two-story home was vacant and boarded up, firefighters said.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A vacant home on Melrose Avenue caught fire Sunday night, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to the home, located just east of Western Avenue, at around 9 p.m. The vacant, boarded-up, two-story building was "well involved" with fire by the time crews arrived, according to the LAFD.

The home was the site of a previous fire, firefighters said.

It took firefighters 24 minutes to extinguish the flames, which were described as heavy, according to the LAFD.

No injuries were reported. The incident remains under investigation.
