  1. If you ran into some wannabe cowboys that were running along the beach on Saturday, you weren’t alone. These runners were competitors in the Rodeo Run, which is a Caren Ware Event. The Western theme left it up to participants to dress up in the gear of their choice. (Caren Ware, Active)
  2. Irish Fest is a week-long celebration where everyone’s Irish at the Old World Village (never mind the German decor). Front and center are drinks, food, live music, and more food. The celebration kicked off Saturday and will continue until next Saturday. (Old World HB)
  3. Newport Harbor beat Huntington Beach in baseball 5 to 3 on Friday. In a non-league event at HBHS. “Arizona State commit Ralph Velazquez hit a solo home run to center field to cut the lead to one.” It is interesting to note that this win is the first for Newport over HB since 2017. (The OCR)
  4. Murrells Inlet might have its Kite Festival at Huntington Beach State Park, but we had the Huntington Beach Kite Party on Saturday and Sunday. Taking place on the north side of the pier, there were plenty of kites in the air. There is some amazing drone footage of the event. (See California, Pilots and Drones)
  5. Art4Shore finished another stunning mural on Saturday. It combines stunning realism with patriotism. “This one was to honor those who serve our country.” (Jody Williams)
