If you were across the HB Pier on Thursday, you cannot have missed the grand opening of Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream & Yogurt at 300 PCH! “The store is highly visible on the corner of Main Street and Pacific Coast Highway in a 1,328-square foot location that used to be a Havaianas flip-flop shop.” Stop by for “yogurt, sherbet, ices and fat-free choices as well as banana splits, sundaes, smoothies and other treats.” (The OCR)
  2. William McNamara is in HB! We learned Monday that he is on set of the Amber Road movie. While it might not need any more actors, the movie will gladly accept your financial backing! (williammcnamara108, Amber Road)

Homeless United HB (HUHB) invites neighbors to attend a Zoom meeting on Thursday at 7 p.m. Points of discussion include “housing initiatives in our community (and) services to the unhoused.” Among others, representatives from Build Futures will discuss services designed to “move homeless, transitional-aged (18- to 24-year-old) youth from the streets to safe, stable housing.” (HB News)
  4. Oak View Elementary invites “K-5th graders and families of Ocean View School District” to attend the Give N’ Grow Basketball Family Night. It is next week Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Please call 714-842-4459 to reserve a spot. (@OVSDSupt)
  5. Is your HS student agonizing over their college major? Golden West College is hosting an informational afternoon titled Adventures in STEM.
