  2. Did you get caught up in Friday’s car chase? Starting in Costa Mesa and involving a Chevy Tahoe, the PD thought they were dealing with a "suspected catalytic converter" thief. “Over the course of the high-speed chase, the suspect was spotted driving erratically through freeway traffic and at one point was seen driving on the freeway shoulder trying to evade officers.” There is no word yet on arrests. (Fox 11)

We learned Saturday that SB 1036, “a conservation corps dedicated to restoration and climate resiliency work along the California Coast,” was unanimously passed by the California State Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Water. Among other things, it “will prepare young people and adults for quality employment and strengthen the pipeline for an environmentally-conscious workforce.” Now, it moves to the Senate Appropriations Committee. (OC Breeze)
  5. If you're heading to Laguna Beach, today, be aware that Caltrans “will commence an emergency project on State Route 133,” which will run “overnight Monday through Friday from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. at Forest Avenue to approximately 800 feet north of Festival of Arts/Parking.” (OC Breeze)
