South OC Man Sentenced For Molesting 2 Underage Family Members

DANA POINT, CA — A 48-year-old has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for molesting two girls he is related to in Dana Point, according to court records obtained Wednesday.

Michael Lewis Williams pleaded guilty Friday to two felony counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child. As part of the plea deal, five counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor younger than 14 and one count of lewd acts on a child 14 or 15, all felonies, were dismissed.

Williams molested one girl from 2015 through 2019, and another girl in 2018, according to court records.

The girls were about 8 to 14 years old when they were allegedly assaulted as they would come to town to visit the defendant, according to sheriff's deputies.
