$1.2 Million Winning Lottery Ticket Sold In Southern California

The ticket was sold in a small town with a population of less than 1,000.

INLAND EMPIRE, CA — Michigan wasn't the only place to score big in Monday's lottery drawing. One California Lottery player also won a whopping $1,230,788 on a ticket with five matching numbers.

The winning Inland Empire Powerball ticket was sold at the Country Store, 72129 Baker Boulevard, Baker, located in San Bernardino County.

There were more than 245,000 winning tickets sold in California in Monday night’s Powerball draw across the eight prize levels other than the jackpot. The jackpot has now rolled back to its starting point of $20 million for Tuesday night’s draw, lottery officials said.

Of course, the big win Monday night was in Michigan. After 34 straight draws with no jackpot winner, one ticket sold in the Great Lakes State matched all six numbers to earn the grand prize of more than $840 million.
