Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) are volunteers trained by Voices for Children and matched with a child or sibling group in foster care.
A CASA spends quality time with the youth and learns about every aspect of their case. This allows the CASA to effectively advocate for them in court, school, medical settings, and more to ensure all of their personalized needs are being met. A CASA makes sure a child’s voice is heard.
Education is an area that is a serious challenge for children in foster care. By helping children stay in school, improve their school performance, and gain a sense of achievement, local CASA program staff and volunteers are working to build strong educational foundations for these children that will last a lifetime.
