Closing Time For Another Retailer With A RivCo Store

CORONA, CA — Another retailer announced it's on a rocky road.

California-based Z Gallerie has filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy and store closing sales are underway nationwide, including the specialty retailer's only Riverside County location: Corona.

The Promenade at Dos Lagos store at 2785 Cabot Drive is currently liquidating all merchandise, with discounts starting at up to 40%, according to the company.

Z Gallerie offers home furnishings and décor with 21 stores across nine states. Z Gallerie is arguably best recalled as the 1980s pop retailer that sold iconic posters at then-busy malls.

Now, B. Riley Retail Solutions, LLC, a subsidiary of B. Riley Financial, Inc., is operating the liquidation sale in its capacity as a retail consultant in connection with the bankruptcy of DirectBuy Home Improvement, Inc., which owns Z Gallerie.

According to the company, deep discounts are currently being offered on Z Gallerie's inventory of:

• Furniture, including sofas, decorative chairs and tables, dining sets, beds, dressers, nightstands, desks, bookcases, consoles and cabinets;
• Lighting fixtures, lamps, chandeliers, and sconces;
• Home décor, including mirrors, wall-mounted art, frames, rugs, curtains and window panels;
• Bedding, decorative pillows, bath towels, rugs and other items.

"This is a unique opportunity to buy high-end, quality home décor at deeply discounted prices. We encourage shoppers to visit their nearest store before merchandise sells out. This sale will be available for a limited time only," said Tim Shilling, executive vice president of B. Riley Retail Solutions.

According to the company, all purchases made during the sale event are final. Returns on items purchased after October 24, 2023, will not be accepted. Returns for items purchased prior to October 24, 2023, can be returned following the company's return policy with a receipt. Z Gallerie gift cards may be used until November 15, 2023.
