Elderly Woman ID'd In Deadly Temescal Valley Crash

The crash happened earlier this week.

TEMESCAL VALLEY, CA — A woman who died in a crash in the Temescal Valley area of Riverside County after getting trapped in the wreckage was publicly identified Thursday.

Riverside County coroner's officials said 84-year-old Charlotte Kneeland died in the collision. She lived in Corona.

Kneeland was in one of the three vehicles that crashed around 8:25 a.m. Wednesday near Temescal Canyon and Lawson roads.

"The first arriving engine company reported a three vehicle traffic collision with one victim trapped," April Newman of the Riverside County Fire Department reported following the crash. "Two victims suffered minor injuries, one victim suffered moderate injuries, and the trapped victim succumbed to their injuries on scene."

Preliminary California Highway Patrol reports indicate that there were two sedans and a truck involved in the wreck.
