EVMWD Earns 4th Transparency Certificate of Excellence

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District received the District Transparency Certificate of Excellence from the Special District Leadership Foundation for the fourth consecutive time, the agency announced Friday.

This recognition highlights EVMWD’s commitment to transparency and good governance in serving its community. General Manager Greg Thomas spoke on the award.

“This award is a testament to Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District’s commitment to open government,” Thomas said. “Our staff is to be commended for their hard work in empowering the public with information and facilitating engagement and oversight.”

To receive the award, the district demonstrated its fulfillment of the leadership foundation's essential governance transparency requirements.

These include conducting ethics training for all board members, ensuring the proper conduct of open and public meetings, and timely filing of financial transactions and compensation reports to the State Controller.
