WILDOMAR, CA — Finishing touches for the new three-story Kaiser Permanente Medical Offices at 22750 Wildomar Trail are winding down, and on May 28 the facility will open to the public.

It's the latest development in an ongoing Kaiser Permanente expansion plan for Riverside County.

The new 84,000-square-foot building just off Interstate 15 is more than double the size of Kaiser Permanente’s current Wildomar clinic at 36450 Inland Valley Drive and adds to the healthcare provider's growing presence in Southwest Riverside County. In 2023, Kaiser Permanente added a second medical office building and ambulatory surgery unit at its Murrieta campus, 28150 Keller Road. The organization's Moreno Valley Medical Center at 27300 Iris Avenue was also expanded to include a diagnostic and treatment center and Level II NICU.

"All of us at Kaiser Permanente are thrilled with the new addition of the Wildomar Trail Medical Offices. Not only does it provide double the clinical office space and state-of-the-art equipment, more importantly it allows us to better serve our communities by adding more physicians, staff, and services," said Dr. Michael Neri, Jr., chief medical officer, Kaiser Permanente Riverside Service Area.

The new Wildomar offices will offer allergy, dermatology, behavioral health, occupational medicine, primary care, vision essentials, imaging services (mammograms), and physical and speech therapy. (To learn more, visit kp.org/wildomartrail.)

On May 17, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the facility, which was attended by city officials and dignitaries.

"It has taken vision and commitment from many individuals within the City of Wildomar, the County of Riverside, and within Kaiser Permanente to create this new destination for health care on Wildomar Trail. Kaiser Permanente is honored to be part of this community and incredibly thankful to have this opportunity to expand access to quality health care in Wildomar and across South Riverside County," said Dr. Sammy Totah, senior vice president and area manager, Kaiser Permanente Riverside Service Area.

According to a Kaiser spokesperson, the Inland Valley Drive facility will remain open "at least into the next year."

Kaiser Permanente is touted as the country's largest private nonprofit healthcare organization, providing care for more than 12 million Americans.

In 2022, the Oakland-based healthcare provider announced it was planning $1.7 billion in expansion projects across Riverside County. In addition to the Murrieta, Moreno Valley, and Wildomar facilities, the organization's Riverside Medical Center will see an increase in the number of hospital beds; upgrades to patient rooms are also planned. Other Kaiser Permanente facilities across the county are also expected to get millions of dollars in upgrades.
