Lake Elsinore Officially Opens 2021 Season

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — The city of Lake Elsinore has officially opened its 2021 boating season, with anglers and water sports enthusiasts capitalizing.

The largest freshwater lake in Southern California, Lake Elsinore kicked off the 2021 season Saturday.

The day prior, Mayor Bob Magee held a press conference at the lake to showcase for reporters this year's offerings: Pontoon boat rides; a Vintage Trailer Village, including Airstreams; a Yurt Village; amenities like a swimming pool, splash pad, and tech interactive playground; a community hall; the Launch Pointe Recreation Destination and RV Park; and well-stocked waters were among the highlights.

Set just below the Cleveland National Forest, the lake is considered a jewel of the area.

"The natural beauty that surrounds Lake Elsinore makes this a must-see destination to truly appreciate its majestic beauty," the city said.
