Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Before my daughter entered fifth grade, my goddaughter had told us about Mr. Whitman being a good teacher. She had said she was getting bullied, and Mr. Whitman resolved the issue without getting admin involved the year. While my daughter was in his class, she learned a great deal. He taught them, causing & effect, how to be a good peer and a good person. He prepared them for middle school, didn’t treat them like babies, and taught them to be responsible and independent. I think he’s a great teacher and deserves recognition.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

Mr. Whitman looks mean, but he is so good with the kids. He keeps them laughing, engaged, and excited to go to school.
