Pedestrian Killed In Lake Elsinore Crash ID'd As Newport Beach Man

The fatality was reported on Lakeshore Drive near Lawrence Way.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday, Aug. 2, in Lake Elsinore has been identified as a Newport Beach resident.

Michael Conzelman, 42, was hit at approximately 9:42 a.m. about 297 feet of east Lawrence Way on Lakeshore Drive.

Conzelman was pronounced dead at the scene moments later by first responders.

The driver remained at the scene and was cooperative. Alcohol and/or drugs are not suspected crash factors, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
