EASTVALE, CA — A big rig overturned Monday at the Interstate 15/60 Freeway interchange in Eastvale amid intense Santa Ana winds, forcing a closure of a connector ramp.

The tractor-trailer went over about 9:15 a.m. on the transition from southbound I-15 to the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The agency said that winds were gusting close to 50 mph at the time. The area is in a wind-prone location to the south of the Cajon Pass.
