What's Open, Closed In Lake Elsinore For Christmas Weekend 2022

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Christmastime is here. Some facilities in Lake Elsinore and Riverside County will start closing offices as early as Thursday before the holiday and remain closed until the following Tuesday, according to the city of Lake Elsinore. That includes most government facilities, like City Hall, which will remain closed through the weekend and reopen on Tuesday.

Below are the openings and closings to know for Christmas around Riverside County:

• Riverside County government offices: Closed from Friday, Dec. 23 through Monday, Dec. 26. They will return on Tuesday, Dec. 27.
• Riverside County Schools: Students and staff are on winter break through the end of the year.
• Riverside County Animal Services: Closed to the public on Saturday, Dec. 24 through Monday Dec. 26.
• Riverside County Libraries: Closed at 5 p.m. on Dec 24, Dec. 25, and Dec. 26.
• Riverside County courts open Friday, Dec. 23. Closed Monday, Dec. 26. Will reopen on Tuesday, Dec. 27.
• Waste Management and CR&R trash pickup: Trash collection is unaffected by the Christmas holiday.
• Post offices: Temecula Post Office is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 24. CAll post offices are closed on Dec. 25 and Monday, Dec. 26.
• DMV offices: Closed on Dec. 25, and Dec. 26.
• Riverside Transit Agency: Christmas Eve | Friday, December 24: Buses will operate regular service. Customer Information Center will be open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Christmas Day | Saturday, December 25: Buses will not operate. Customer Information Center and administrative offices will be closed.; New Year’s Eve | Friday, December 31: Buses will operate regular service with free rides after 2:30 p.m. Customer Information Center will be open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Administrative offices will be closed.; New Year’s Day | Saturday, January 1Buses will not operate. Customer Information Center and administrative offices will be closed.
• Metrolink is available on Christmas Day, and will operate on a Saturday Schedule both Christmas Day and Monday, Dec,. 26. The Saturday schedule includes: Antelope Valley, San Bernardino, Orange County, 91/Perris Valley, Ventura County and Inland Empire-Orange County lines. Metrolink trains will not operate on the Riverside Line. On Dec. 25, Metrolink will offer its regular Sunday schedule, along with the $10 Weekend Day Pass. Regular weekday service will resume on Tuesday, December 27.
