2 Livermore Restaurants Win Wine Spectator Awards

LIVERMORE, CA — Two Livermore restaurants were honored with Wine Spectator 2024 Restaurant Awards, which are awarded to restaurants with extensive and well-curated wine lists. The two restaurants were among four in the Tri-Valley (LB Steak Bishop Ranch in San Ramon, and Sabio on Main in Pleasanton), 171 in Northern California, and 3,700 across the world. Two NorCal restaurants - Grasing’s in Carmel-by-the-Sea and Lazy Bear in San Francisco, were two of just four in the world to receive the Grand Award, given to restaurants with 1,000 or more wine selections.

In Livermore, Posada Alta Cocina and Uncle Yu’s at the Vineyard were both honored. Posada Alta Cocina, a Mexican restaurant at 988 Murrieta Boulevard, boasts an extensive menu of fine wines, cocktails, and upscale lunches, dinners, and desserts.

“ Posada Alta Cocina has proudly received the prestigious two-glass Best of Award of Excellence 2024. This is a continuous achievement from 2023. We are delighted to remain a part of Wine Spectator’s distinguished family, which includes 1,530 of the world’s top dining establishments for wine of Best of Award of Excellence,” the restaurant noted at the top of its website.

Restaurant Award winners are recognized as some of the finest places globally to enjoy this delightful combination.”

Uncle Yu’s at the Vineyard, at 39 South Livermore Avenue, was also recently honored by Diablo Magazine as “Best of the East Bay.” It offers fine wines alongside innovative Asian fusion cuisine in a beautiful dining room and outdoor patio, in addition to a private room for functions.
