LIVERMORE, CA — The family of an Alameda County firefighter is raising money to help him recover from multiple burns that he suffered while fighting the Corral Fire.

Brandon Franco suffered burns to multiple parts of his body on June 1 while he was fighting the 14,000-acre Corral Fire in Livermore and Tracy, according to the GoFundMe page organized by the Oakland and Alameda County Firefighters Local 55 union. The burns have already required surgery, and will likely require further procedures. Though Franco is expected to make a full recovery, it will take time and support.

The page is requesting $30,000 to cover essential supplies to manage Francos’s ranch and animals as he recovers. As of Monday at noon, the page has raised $24,817 from 191 donors, including $1500 from the Livermore-Pleasanton Firefighters Foundation.
