Large Grass Fire Contained In Altamont

LIVERMORE, CA — Crews contained a 44-acre wildfire that broke out just after 11 a.m. Saturday near the Altamont Pass, according to Cal Fire.

The Greenville Fire broke out at Altamont Pass Road and North Greenville Road, not far from the 14,000 Corral Fire, which was 100% contained as of Saturday. By 12:26, Cal Fire tweeted that the fire had grown to 41 acres, but forward progress was stopped. The fire was 100% contained by 9:12 p.m. Saturday, according to Cal Fire.
