LIVERMORE, CA — A Livermore police dog discovered large quantities of narcotics and paraphernalia in a car in Livermore.

On Tuesday at 12:45 p.m., an officer and his K9 Drake noted a man checking under the hood of a car with Washington plates. The officer asked the driver if he needed help, and he replied that he was traveling from San Jose to Washington. He then went into a store.

During that time, Drake smelled narcotics in the car. Officers say they found methamphetamine, four ounces of fentanyl, and other drug paraphernalia inside. 38-year-old Ramon Guzman and 31-year-old Taylor Bickler of Washington both admitted to purchasing the fentanyl earlier in the morning in the Central Valley, with the intent to sell it in Washington.
