Livermore's Las Positas College To Honor Women Veterans
Wednesday is the 10th annual Honoring Women Veterans event.
LIVERMORE, CA —Las Positas College's Veterans First Program will host the 10th annual Honoring Women Veterans event Wednesday.
The keynote speaker is Virginia Wimmer, Deputy Secretary for Women Veterans Affairs at the California Department of Veterans Affairs, according to a news release sent to Patch.
U.S. Army Veteran, Xochitl Rodriguez Murillo, Deputy Secretary of Minority Veterans Affairs, will also be a special guest.

There will be a female student veterans question and answer panel discussion followed by an announcement of scholarship winners. The event closes with a quilt of valor presentation.
The event is at Las Positas College, 3000 Campus Hill Drive in Livermore, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
