LIVERMORE, CA — A small plane with one person on board crashed on Mines Road and Tarraville Creek Road in a rural unincorporated area south of Livermore, near the Alameda and Santa Clara County line. The plane went down at around 9:08 a.m. Friday, according to Sgt. Roberto Morales of the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.

Despite earlier reports claiming that the occupant was injured, Morales said deputies found that the sole occupant was not injured.

The plane was a single-engine Cessna 150 that crashed near the Tracy Municipal Airport but took off from Concord, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. Officials told ABC7 that they received a 911 call from the pilot.

Footage from CBS shows a small plane upside-down in brush. The wings and area near the propeller are badly smashed. The footage shows emergency crews walking through the brush with the pilot, who seems to walk without any difficulty.

The National Transportation Safety Board, which is investigating the crash, told Patch that preliminary information indicates the pilot reported the airplane experienced a complete loss of engine power while flying, and made a forced landing.
