Suspects Found With Loaded Gun, Meth, Stolen Items In Bay Area

Police arrested a man and woman with multiple warrants from two counties.

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore police arrested two suspects suspected of stealing hundreds of retail items, as well as a loaded gun, burglary tools, and methamphetamine.

On Sunday at around 2:30, Livermore police were called to Kohl’s for a theft in progress. Police contacted the suspect, 44-year-old Angelica Gomez, and found that she had a warrant for her arrest out of San Mateo County.

Police also contacted Gomez’s acquaintance, 33-year-old Jesus Ayala-Zarate. They found that he had multiple felony warrants from Alameda County, with no bail.

Both suspects were arrested and taken to Santa Rita Jail.

Officers searched their vehicle and say they found hundreds of pieces of stolen clothing with tags and sensors attached, household goods, cosmetics, a loaded .22 caliber revolver with ammunition, and 11.5 grams of meth packaged for sale.
