3 Suspects Ambush, Stab Man In Long Beach

LONG BEACH, CA — A man walking on Long Beach Boulevard Thursday night was ambushed and stabbed by three unknown suspects, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

At about 10:29 p.m., officers responded to the 2000 block of Long Beach Boulevard after they received a report of a tabbing. When officers arrived they found a man suffering from multiple non-life-threatening stab wounds in his lower body.

The victim told police he was walking along the street when he was suddenly approached by three other men and assaulted, police said.

"During the assault, the suspects stabbed the victim with an unknown object," LBPD said in a statement.

The suspects fled in a vehicle after the assault, police said.

Long Beach Fire Department paramedics took the victim to a local hospital to treat his injuries. At this time, the motive for the attack is unknown, authorities said.

No other injuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing.
