MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Early voting is now open in Manhattan Beach for the 2024 Primary Election, where residents will vote on State Assemblymember, President and Senator.

With presidential frontrunners former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden expected to win their nominations handily, all eyes in California are on the hotly contested primary race for the seat vacated by the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein as well as a slew of local races.

Locally, voters will choose Councilmembers for the even-numbered districts in Long Beach.

In District 2, incumbent Cindy Allen is running against newcomers Ketty Citterio and Sara Zaidi. In District 4, current City Councilmember Daryl Supernaw is running against Herlinda Chico, Gerrie Schipske and Amrit Singh. In District 6, incumbent Suely Saro is running against Cristino
Pinto.

District 8 is the only Long Beach City Council district that doesn't have an incumbent running as current Councilmember Al Austin is serving his last term. Voters will choose between newcomers
Sharifa Batts and Tunua Thrash-Ntuk.

Polling Places

Residents can vote on Election Day or choose to vote in person early. Accessible voting locations are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day at the following locations:

    • Early voting will be open starting March 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In-person voting locations will offer same-day voter registration, replacement ballots, accessible voting machines and language assistance for those who need it.
