Man Killed At Chicken Restaurant In Long Beach: Police

Two groups got into a fight, a man stabbed the victim and the people involved fled, according to police.

LONG BEACH, CA — A man was fatally stabbed overnight in a Long Beach chicken restaurant, according to police and media reports.

Officers responded around 1 a.m. to the 5200 block of East Second Street, where they found a man who had been stabbed in the upper body, police said. The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries, according to police.

KTLA and KABC reported the attack occurred in a Dave’s Hot Chicken restaurant.

The fatal injury happened when two groups got into a fight, according to police, who said a man stabbed the victim, and that the assailant and others who were part of the fight fled the scene.

Long Beach police planned to have an increased presence in the area Sunday, authorities said.
