Stabbing Suspect At Large In Long Beach

A man was stabbed during a dispute in Long Beach Monday night, police said.

LONG BEACH, CA — A fight escalated into a stabbing Monday night in Long Beach, according to police.

The Long Beach Police Department responded to the stabbing at about 6:58 p.m. in the area of Louise Street and Long Beach Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found a man with multiple non-life-threatening stab wounds in his upper body.

"Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived on scene and transported the victim to a local hospital," LBPD said in a statement.

Investigators said the victim was involved in a dispute with another man and it escalated when the suspect stabbed the victim. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived, LBPD said.

Detectives said the investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
