Los Gatos Election 2022 Results: Jonsen Leads Sheriff's Race

LOS GATOS, CA — The polls are closed in Santa Clara County, and voters will soon know the 2022 General Election results.

In the Los Gatos Town Council race as of 8:42 p.m. with 42 percent of the vote counted, Rob Moore (22.8 percent), Mary Badame (21.8 percent) and Rob Rennie (20.3 percent) lead a field of six candidates for three open seats. The other candidates are Rob Stump (17.3 percent), Margaret Smith (13.3 percent and Reza Tavana (4.4 percent).

In the Santa Clara County sheriff’s race, as of 9:23 p.m. p.m. with 44 percent of the vote counted, Robert Jonsen (52.5 percent) leads Kevin Jensen (47.5 percent).

There are 1,005,533 registered voters in Santa Clara County of which 514,199 (51.14 percent) are registered as Democrats, 165,427 (16.5 percent) are registered as Republicans, and 25,893 (2.6 percent) have chosen no party preference.
