MARTINEZ, CA — The Martinez Police Department provided information on an incident that prompted a lockdown Wednesday at Alhambra High School.
According to Martinez police Lt. Zach Lekse, officers were sent to the area of Alhambra Avenue and J Street shortly after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday for a welfare check on a pedestrian who was reportedly acting strangely.
Officers located a man walking in the area and tried to contact him but he ran into the lower-level parking lot of Alhambra High School at 150 E Street.
