"Grab your coolers and blankets and join your neighbors as we march our parade through Homestead Valley. Decorate your bikes, scooters, and strollers while donning your favorite red, white, and blue gear - after all, we are the parade!
The Parade starts in Volunteer Park and the route goes up Melrose to Laverne and ends in Stolte Grove. 
The Picnic follows in Stolte Grove with food and dessert treats by local businesses. Music and artists will entertain the crowd."

Los Pinguos &amp; Twanguero are coming back to Mill Valley to present their new musical project. Los Silverbacks is an LA based World Music collective, drawing artistic inspiration from the streets of the world.
After many years playing together though Playing for Change collaborations, the Argentinian band, known for their Latin flavored melodies, along with the Spanish artist &amp; guitarist united musical forces last year with Afro Fiesta members, originally from Congo.
With blends of Latin, Spanish, and African rhythms, their sound transports listeners from Congolese Rumba, through South American cumbia, to Rockabilly, with hints of reggae, marabi and even tango.
With their genre-blurring style, Los Silverbacks live performances are worth the detour for any world music aficionado. Come discover and enjoy their music at Throckmorton Theatre on Friday, August 16th!

Guide Dogs For The Blind Inc

Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB) will salute its guide dog team class of 2024 every other Saturday with public graduation ceremonies at the organization’s campus in San Rafael. These events have proven to melt even the most cynical heart, as graduating guide dog teams proudly take the stage. Families are welcome at the ceremonies, which honor the independence, companionship, and accomplishment that GDB’s exceptional guide dogs provide for the people they will serve. The events also allow GDB clients to meet the committed puppy raisers who cared for their canine heroes until they were old enough to begin formal training at GDB’s campus. Ceremonies also recognize recent graduates of GDB’s Orientation and Mobility (O&amp;M) Program, K9 Buddy Program, and Breeder Dog Program.
Kleenex will be provided. Pre-registered bus groups are welcome. Graduation day public tours of the campus are offered on the days of the ceremonies. Guide Dogs for the Blind Celebrates 2024 Graduates with Moving Public Ceremony

Please join us for a summer concert of incredible Beatles songs. Hard to believe, it’s been 60 years since the Fab Four arrived in America, to the thrill of Ed Sullivan watchers; their legacy and music live on.
Songs will include 'Yesterday', 'Let It Be', ‘Girl’, as well as lesser known numbers such as the recently released 'Now And Then', beautifully arranged by Musical Director Michael Morales.
There will be harmonic ensemble favorites such as ‘Blackbird’ and ‘I Will’. With our 70+ voice choir and backing band, we’re looking forward to rocking out with our audience. Outdoor reception to follow the concert. Hope to see you there.

This signature sail, boarding in Sausalito, will take you under the Golden Gate Bridge and all the way out to Point Bonita Lighthouse. This is a prime area for wildlife and we'll have a naturalist on-board to guide you through the whole experience!
You'll learn about the history and diverse ecosystems of the Bay, current ocean conservation issues, and how to identify the local and migratory seabirds, pinnipeds (seals and sea lions) and cetaceans (whales, dolphins and porpoises) that inhabit our "Serengeti of the West." Don't forget your binoculars! Join us for a glorious afternoon on private property in Mill Valley with access to beautiful nature to explore the answer through the lenses of biomimicry and mindfulness. 
Biomimicry: Getting inspiration from nature's designs and adapting the principles of nature's solutions to solve human problems. 
Mindfulness: Gently observing our present-moment thoughts, feelings, sensations, and surroundings. 
Together we will lean in, connect with metaphorical mycelium, discover our ancestral ties to the more-than-human world, and listen to the wisdom found in deep time.
As we become more aware of the life around us, our lives become enriched, revitalized, and resourced. Discover how nature supports the cultivation of expanded states of joy, wonder, and a loving, alive connection with oneself, others, and the larger web of life. 
Facilitator
This program is led by Lori Schwanbeck whose life and career have been focused on the intersection of positive psychology, leadership, neuroscience, and mindfulness. She has trained with legends such as Jack Kornfield and taught at renowned retreat centers such as Esalen. She is one of a kind exceptional guide and you won't want to miss this transformational class this is sure to create a fork in your path.

We will be on beautiful private land with a mix of shade and sun. There are no paved trails and the ground is uneven. The land is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
