Chopper Crew Rescues Man From Rocky Marin Beach: VIDEO

The Marin County Fire Department and the Stinson Beach Fire Protection District assisted the California Highway Patrol with the rescue.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — A chopper rescue crew on Sunday pulled a distressed man trapped at a rocky Marin County beach to safety, the California Highway Patrol said.

The CHP posted video of the rescue on its Facebook page showing an H-30 helicopter dropping a rescue basket attached to rope down to Red Rock Beach, where a Marin County firefighter already on the scene is shown helping the man get into the basket.

The firefighter and victim are then shown being hoisted from the shoreline.

The Marin County Fire Department and the Stinson Beach Fire Protection District assisted with the rescue.

“The victim was transported to a local hospital in moderate distress,” the CHP said.
