MARIN COUNTY, CA— A small earthquake struck early Thursday morning off the coast of Marin County and San Francisco.

The 3.6-magnitude quake hit at 5:41 a.m. and was centered in the ocean about 4.5 miles south of Muir Beach and about 10 miles west of San Francisco, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

People reported feeling the quake across Marin and the Greater Bay Area.
