Featured Artist To Attend Mill Valley Unveiling Event

Artist Valentin Popov will attend the first installation of the city's Rotating Art in the Plaza on Tuesday.

MILL VALLEY, CA — A monthly Mill Valley arts event this week will feature the unveiling of a new installation, and one of the featured artists is scheduled to attend.

This month’s First Tuesday ArtWalk will include the launch of the first installation of the city’s Rotating Art in the Plaza.

Valentin Popov, whose "From…To…" will be on display, will be on hand for the event, which will be held Tuesday (March 1) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. throughout the city’s downtown area.

The Oakland-based artist is known for “hyperreal” portrait paintings. "From…To…" is from a 2009 series of paintings "In The Water" created in oil on canvas.

The displayed artwork produced in 2022 is an Artist Proof print of the original painting on an aluminum composite sheet.
