Musica Marin's 'Taste Of Spain': Tickets On Sale

MARIN COUNTY, CA – Musica Marin, a local nonprofit dedicated to classical music, culinary culture and philanthropy, will present "A Taste of Spain" on Saturday, May 11 with a special menu and intimate concert.

Tickets are on sale for the event, which will be held at a private home in Belvedere from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

On the menu are Spanish wines and such Spanish dishes as traditional Valencia paella, tapas and pintxos, prepared by “Best of the Bay” Chef Mark Furr.

The concert will feature classically trained harpist Krista Strader, renowned flutist Debora Harris and Musica Marin founder and violist Ruth Kahn performing Spanish compositions and the Debussy Trio for flute, harp and viola.

Harpist Strader has performed for more than 20 years with professional groups around the Bay Area, and for international royalty, heads of state, Hollywood celebrities and government dignitaries.

Violist Kahn, a graduate of The Julliard School, has played worldwide including with the New York City Ballet Orchestra for 20 years and currently with the San Francisco Opera Orchestra.

Flutist Harris is flying in for the concert and has served as the principal flute of the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony for 25 years. While in the Bay Area, Harris also will teach a
flute master class at Redwood High School on May 7.

Musica Marin offers musical and culinary experiences featuring internationally acclaimed musicians and celebrated chefs. Its 2019 season includes three concert events and the 2019 Musica Marin International Chamber Music and Culinary Festival. A portion of proceeds benefit young musicians through its Young Artists and Scholarship Programs.
