MARIN COUNTY, CA – A series of storms are expected to affected the area over the next few days, and officials are warning residents to take precautions.

Roadways are expected to be slick following moderate rainfall and cooler air accompanying the storms will cause temperatures to fall. On Monday, there will be a risk for light snow accumulation at higher elevations.

Next week, heavy rainfall is expected midweek and will likely result in an increased risk of mudslides over steep terrain, debris flow over wildfire burn scars and localized water ponding, according to officials.
