Tam High Extends Unbeaten Streak To 7

MILL VALLEY, CA — The Tamalpais High boys soccer team extended its season-opening unbeaten streak to seven games as the Red-tailed Hawks defeated San Rafael 2-0 Thursday in a Marin County Athletic League game.

Derek Moore and Ian Murdoch each scored their first goals of the season to lead Tamalpais (5-0-2, 5-0-2 MCAL). Both goals were unassisted.

Freshman goalie Sam Clark was credited with the shutout.

Tamalpais as of Monday was locked in a two-tie for first place with Archie Williams (6-0-2, 5-0-2).

Tamalpais and Archie Williams played to a 3-3 tie in their most recent meeting on Dec. 11.

The two teams face each other again Jan. 22 in what figures to be one of the region’s most eagerly anticipated rivalry games in years.
