'Armed And Dangerous' Monrovia Man Wanted In Father's Shooting

The Rialto Police Department warns the public to avoid Curtiss Booker Jr. and call 911 if they encounter him.

RIALTO, CA — The Rialto Police Department is searching for a Monrovia man considered “armed and dangerous” in connection with the fatal shooting of his father Monday.

Authorities asked for the public’s help to locate Curtiss Booker Jr., 31, and warned anyone who encountered him to avoid him and call 911 instead.

Rialto police officers found Curtis Booker Sr., 58, of Temple City, lying with a gunshot wound in the front yard of a house in the 400 block of East Chaparral Street around 11:16 a.m. He later died from his injuries, police said.

Witnesses told officers that the older Booker was arguing with his son when he was shot. The younger Booker fled the area before police arrived, according to authorities.

Anyone with information about Booker’s whereabouts was asked to contact Rialto police Sgt. James Mills at 909-820-2632. Anonymous tips can be sent to WeTip at 800-782-7463.
