Broadway Comes To Monrovia Later This Month

MONROVIA, CA — Monrovians will get an opportunity later this month to enjoy some of Broadway’s biggest hits in person without ever having to hop on a plane.

The Monrovia Unified School District will hold Broadway Under the Stars, which will feature musical performances from “Broadway’s most iconic and memorable” shows,” organizers said in a statement.

The musical review will be held outdoors at Monrovia High School’s Friendship Circle on Saturday, Aug. 28, at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and seating is first-come, first-served.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner to enjoy during the performances if they wish, organizers said.

Tickets cost $35 and can be purchased online. VIP tickets for priority seating are available by calling Patrick Garcia at 626-471-2032.

Proceeds will benefit future musical and theater productions at the Taylor Performing Arts Center.
