Entries Now Open For Monrovia’s Holiday Home Decorating Contest
Categories for the home decorating contest include best still display, best outdoor display and most effective use of light.
MONROVIA, CA — Residents in a holly jolly mood can enter the city’s annual Holiday Home Decorating Contest.
Homes must be in Monrovia to be eligible for the contest, and the decorations must be visible from the street, city officials said. Contestants should note if their decorations are better viewed at night or during the day.
The deadline to enter the contest is Dec. 6 at 5 p.m.

Residents could win one of the following awards:
• Best Still Display
• Best Outdoor Display
• Most Effective Use of Lighting
• Best Neighborhood Effort
• Santa's Workshop Award
• Holiday Spirit Award
• Judges Award
• Children's Choice Award

Judging takes place from Dec. 10 to 12, and the winners will be revealed on Dec. 14, officials said. The City Council will recognize the contest's winners during its Dec. 21 meeting.
