Ford Warriors in Pink Joins Forces with A Little Easier Recovery

Collaboration provides Post-Mastectomy Jacki® and Patient Organizers to breast cancer patients at City of Hope, Duarte CA

Lawrence, MA, July 10, 2017 — A Little Easier Recovery, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
providing tools and garments to cancer patients, is thrilled to announce its collaboration with
Ford Warriors in Pink for the second year in a row. A Little Easier Recovery provides free
programs to advanced breast cancer patients to help with recovery. Through this relationship,
500 women will receive a free Jacki® recovery garment to help manage mastectomy needs, and
600 women will benefit from a complimentary Patient Organizer.

ABOUT A LITTLE EASIER RECOVERY:
A Little Easier Recovery’s founder created the Jacki® recovery jacket while going through breastcancer treatment, beginning at mastectomy reconstruction and lymph node surgery. The Jacki® was designed along the lines of “What would Jackie O wear?” if she had to endure breast surgery. The Jacki® program helps restore dignity, manage painful postsurgical drains and surgical wounds. Its classic, incognito style allows women to do more, feel better, and live a better quality of life. The compassionate oncology teams distribute the Jacki® directly to patients scheduled for mastectomy surgery. We are privileged to have helped so many amazing women by providing this proven, unique solution to make getting through this difficult time a little easier. The Patient Organizer was also created out of necessity. Along with a cancer diagnosis comes an overwhelming amount of paperwork and information. The Patient Organizer helps patients stay organized, regain control, and better advocate for themselves.
It is an honor to be part of the Ford Warriors in Pink More Good Days initiative for the second year. It is a privilege to help these incredible women enduring treatment with these patientdesigned, hospital friendly tools. This collaboration will now help post-mastectomy patients have “a little easier recovery” with a lot of style and organization.
To date, A Little Easier Recovery has helped more than 20,000 breast cancer patients. We know
there is nothing easy about a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. But there are tools and
resources that can ease the burden.
A Little Easier Recovery is thrilled to work with Ford Warriors in Pink for the second year in a
row. According to Maureen Cardinal, executive director, “We are grateful Ford Warriors in Pink
continues to support our initiative, and enables us to help make the traumatic ordeal of breast
cancer ‘a little easier.’”
