MONROVIA, CA — Residents will have the chance to flex their creative muscles later this month when the Monrovia Association of Fine Arts puts on its “Chalksgiving” art contest for this year.

The Thanksgiving art contest is open to artists of all skill levels. Anyone can enter the contest on their own or in a group, organizers said. It is free to enter and will be from Nov. 25 to 28.

The chalk art can be done on the sidewalk, driveway or any other surface where it’s allowed. Photographs of the completed artwork must be submitted to the association by midnight on Nov. 28.

This year’s suggested theme is “What We’re Thankful For,” but organizers said artists can go with their own theme as long as it’s family-friendly.
