Monrovia Woman Identified In Fatal 210 Freeway Shooting

The 35-year-old woman was killed in a car-to-car shooting on the Foothill Freeway in Arcadia, authorities said.

ARCADIA, CA — A 35-year-old Monrovia woman killed in a car-to-car shooting on the eastbound Foothill Freeway in Arcadia Saturday was identified by authorities.

Bertha Hernandez died at the scene after being shot at least once, according to the California Highway Patrol.

No description of the shooter or the car was available.

The shooting was reported to the CHP around 9 a.m. after a black Mercedes-Benz crashed into a wall on the right shoulder of the freeway near the Baldwin Avenue off-ramp, police said.

Hernandez was the only person in the car, and no other cars were involved in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with any information about the shooting was asked to contact CHP Officer Carlos Martinez at 323-353-8381.
