Person Killed After Being Struck By LA Metro Train In Monrovia

Service on LA Metro's L Line, formerly the Gold Line, between Duarte and Arcadia was temporarily canceled because of the fatality.

One person was killed Friday morning after they were struck by a Los Angeles Metro train in Monrovia.

Train service was halted between the Duarte and Arcadia Metro stations for the L Line train for several hours, officials said. No other information was available about the pedestrian who was killed, including their age and gender.

The crash happened around 4:25 a.m. when the pedestrian was struck by a Los Angeles-bound train near California Avenue and Duarte Road. The person died at the scene.
